Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 29, 2026. Halo is operated by Nova Connects Ltd ('Halo', 'we', 'us'). By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. Who you are contracting with
The Halo service is provided by Nova Connects Ltd, trading as "Halo". By accessing or using Halo, you are entering into a contract with Nova Connects Ltd and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using Halo on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the service unlawfully or fraudulently; upload harassing, infringing, or otherwise unlawful content; attempt to gain unauthorised access; probe, scan, or interfere with the service or its security; upload malware; scrape the service; or use Halo to send spam.
4. Customer content
You retain ownership of the content you and your users submit ("Customer Content"). You grant Nova Connects Ltd a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Content solely to provide the service.
5. Intellectual property
Nova Connects Ltd retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Halo service, including all software, documentation, and branding. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your chosen plan. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or circumvent technical limits of the service.
6. Subscriptions, fees, and trials
Halo offers a 14-day free trial. Paid subscriptions are billed per seat, per month, on the plan you select. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. Payment processing, invoicing, and subscription management are handled by our payments provider Stripe. You can manage your billing details, payment methods, and invoices at any time from the in-app billing dashboard. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
7. Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns.
8. Service availability
We work to keep Halo available and performant, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Either party may terminate for material breach not cured within 30 days of written notice. Upon termination, your access ends and Customer Content is deleted per the data-retention policy.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nova Connects Ltd disclaims all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nova Connects Ltd's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnity
You will indemnify Nova Connects Ltd against claims arising from your Customer Content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
